I have found a wonderful way to hang quilts!–3M Command Picture Hanging Strips. The Medium size will support 3 lbs and the large size 4 pounds on each strip. They are sold at Office Depot, Office Max, etc.

I use two to four or more on the top, depending on the size of the quilt. In addition, I also use one on each bottom corner if the quilt needs help hanging correctly.

Put two single strips together to make a set. (They go together like Velcro). Remove the paper from one of the strips and finger press the set to the quilt first. Then use a level to mark your wall with painters tape. Now hang your quilt by pressing hard on each set with your hand.

If you want to take the quilt down just “unhook” the quilt strip from the wall strip. If you want to remove the strips from the wall follow the directions on the package. They pull off easily without leaving a mark. You can also buy new adhesive strips so you can reuse the Velcro part of the strips!

I have hung just about everything with these strips—from quilts to clocks and even my design wall—they are great.
