New Confessions of a Fabric Whisperer

What do 750 pins, window screening, and paint have in common?  They’ve all been used by Ellen Lindner in creative ways as she’s made art quilts.  Join her in an amusing accounting of some of the wacky things she’s done over the years, some of them successful and some of them resulting in “rough drafts.”  She’ll share with you why even the unsuccessful ones are useful and why she fearlessly embraces experimentation.

Playing with Fabric

From perfect points, to messy raw edges, Ellen Lindner has done it all. Follow along on her creative journey, as you view beautiful quilts, hear inspiring stories, and learn valuable techniques. Ellen is very eager to encourage creativity in others, and will share many ideas to spark your own artistic adventures.

Color It Beautiful

What do key lime pie and a beautiful quilt have in common? It’s the COMBINATION of ingredients that produce great results. In this lecture you’ll learn to select colors that will work well together, and how to best manage their proportions. Basic color theory will be explained in simple terms, and demonstrated with fabulous quilts.
