I’m really thrilled to have my quilt, Reconciliation, featured on the cover of Storytelling Magazine’s current cover.
The description inside says:
Ellen Lindner uses fabric the way a painter used paint. Her collages are created with a variety of fabric pieces held together with stitching across the top. Her “Body Language” series strives to tell a story with as little information as possible. Reconciliation depicts that moment of relief when hurts and misunderstandings are forgiven. EllenLindner.com
Nice, right?
That is so awesome! Who would have thought to do that with a silhouette! Love, love, love it!
Merry Christmas and Zhappy Znew Year!
Thanks, Ingrid! I really like the way these “Body Language” pieces turned out, (but those silhouette shapes are rather challenging.)
Just beautiful! Well done. It’s so great to see some non sewing/quilting magazines using fabric work on the cover! Keep making beautiful work, Ellen Lindner!!
Thanks, MaryAnn. I agree that it’s great to get art quilts some “non-quilt” exposure. This particular image has been published quite a few places.
How awesome! Congrats. It’s very nice to see textile work in non-textile magazines.
Thanks, LynneP! Yes, having it shown to non-quilters is extra nice.
When ever I recieve one of your posts, the text is all there but the pictures are only partial ones. I get the left side, but never the entire shot. Is there a way to remedy this? Congratulations on your Cover Girl achievement! It’s well deserved.
Thanks for your congratulations, Terri.
I’m not sure what’s going on with the partial images you’re seeing. I’ve asked my web gal to look into your issue. I’m sure she’ll have some questions, so I’ll email you privately.
Real nice!
Congrats
Thanks, Gwen!
Congratulations! “Reconciliation” is a beautiful piece of art. Wonderful to see it on a magazine cover!
Thanks, Maeve!
Wow! What a great thing for you, and everyone who sees this. Your work is so beautiful, original, and heartfelt. Looking forward to your next venture.
Please keep me on your email list.
Thanks, Sharon!
Be on the lookout for my Quilting Arts TV debut soon. (Sometime in late January, I’m hoping.)
Don’t worry, you’re on my list!
