Remember this quilt, which I completed recently?
It sold almost right away to an artist friend of mine. She says it “nagged” at her for several weeks after first seeing it, so she knew she had to have it. And also that it would fit their new home very well.
And boy does it.
Isn’t it perfect with the lively pops of color?
I love their eclectic and colorful decor, including the lively chameleon painting to the left of the quilt. (It was done by the home owner.) Isn’t this room joyful and fun?
I’m so delighted to see this quilt in its new home! I feel like this sale is a win-win for everyone. As any sale should be.

P.S. Would you like to see more quilts in their final environments?
I’d love to see them in place🤠🧐
OK, Kristy, I’ll see what I can find.
Yes, I would like to see more of your quilts in their new home! I love this quilt but had no idea how big it was. It does look fabulous in its new environs.
You’re right about the size, Kristin. There’s no way to judge it without seeing the environment.
The size for this one was dictated to some degree by the large pattern on the starting fabric: the central one with the big hashtag sort of marks. However, I do tend to make horizontal pieces larger, since I figure people will be likely to use over sofas, etc. I often work with 40-48″ wide for these.
Sure! It’s always an inspiration to see work “in situu.”
I’ll see what I can find, Candy.
Loved this one. Perfect in that house! Yes, I would like to see more in their homes.
Thanks, Sue.
I’ll hunt up some more installation photos.
