P.S. I’ve been blogging about this piece since July 13, 2013. With a little browsing you’ll be able to see the inspiration photo, as well as information about my design decisions and construction techniques.
Looks really good, Ellen. Love that complimentary color scheme.

Thanks, Chris! Complementary colors always add drama!
Ellen,
I hope your husband continues to improve. This one is gorgeous! I made a palm frond quilt for a friend years ago. I love this image.
This quilt is exquisite. You achieved depth and richness without losing the design. Thank you for sharing the process. It makes me want to quilt right this minute but all my stuff is packed as we build a new house. I know your blog is something I will revisit often when I am in my new studio.
I’m adding my positive thoughts for your husband’s return to good health and for the challenge it must be for you and your family. Your care must be as loving as your quilts are lovely.
Best to you,
Julie-Anne
Hi Julie-Ann,
What thoughtful comments! I greatly appreciate them, along with those positive thoughts!
Hope you get back to quilting before too long.
