Exercise Results

Remember the challenging exercise I gave you?  Here are some results from my art quilt buddies.  (We used pencils only, no color.)

We all worked with this image:

Although somewhat challenging, it was a fun and useful exercise.
I hope you’ll give it a try.

What kind of colored pencils did you use? Did you do any blending with the pencils? I really liked the results that were achieved.

    Hi Chris,

I used Prismacolor pencils. They have a lot of pigment and work really well. I may have used one color on top of another, but I didn’t “officially” blend them. (You know how you can do with a blending stick, etc.) I’m not that savvy with colored pencils. I use them only for these sorts of exercises.

Hope you’ll give it a try.

Really interesting – looks like something fun to try.

  4. Yes, Maeve, it was a good exercise in problem solving. (Just like the quilt that inspired it.)
